Winter Hike to Pulpit Rock

Two groups from England joined us for a winter hike to Preikestolen after fresh overnight snow had changed the trail.

Winter conditions make this route a different job from a summer hike. Pace, footing and breaks need to match the snow, temperature and the people in the group. We kept the day steady and adjusted as the conditions changed.

At the plateau, the fresh snow and quieter trail gave the groups a very different view of Pulpit Rock and Lysefjord from the one most summer visitors see.
