Fjord & Mountain Biking in Norway

Cycling changes how you see the landscape. You move slowly enough to notice the gradients, weather and small places along the road, but still cover far more ground than you would on foot.

Southwest Norway offers a rare mix of fjord roads, long mountain climbs, quiet valleys and small villages. The pace is different on a bike: you notice the gradients, weather, road surfaces and places you would normally pass without stopping.

One of our favourite routes starts in Lysebotn, at the head of Lysefjorden. From sea level, the road climbs through 27 hairpin bends toward the mountain plateau before continuing across the high country towards Sirdal. It is a demanding ride, and we adapt the distance, pace and support to the riders in the group.

The next day? More mountains, rolling roads, lakes, forests and open landscapes toward Tonstad — or even all the way to Sira for those who want the full experience.

The day is not only about distance or performance. Coffee beside a fjord, a swim after a long climb, a quiet road, a local story or a good meal at the end can matter just as much as the kilometres.

More Than Just a Bike Ride

We combine local route knowledge with flexible support on the road. Whether you want a demanding mountain climb, a scenic road ride, gravel sections or an easier day beside the fjords, we shape the route around your fitness, experience and available time.

  • Scenic cycling routes through fjords, mountains and quiet countryside
  • Support vehicle, luggage transport and flexible tour setups available
  • Local guides who know the hidden roads, cafés, viewpoints and stories

Cycling here is not about chasing a number on a screen. The climbs are real, the weather can change quickly, and the best days usually include time to stop, look around and adjust the plan when needed. At the end of the day, tired legs and a good meal are often enough.

Southwest Norway gives riders a useful mix of coast, fjords and mountain plateaus. Routes can include the roads around Jøssingfjord, historic stretches near Sogndalstrand and longer climbs in Lyseheiane.

And the best part? The roads are often quiet. The nature feels untouched. And the experience feels real.

Big Routes, Practical Support

We help plan the details, logistics, transport, overnight stays and route options so you can focus on the ride itself. Ride hard, enjoy the scenery and let us handle the rest.

The Local Experience

This is not a mass tourism cycling trip. We show you hidden gems, local culture, scenic detours and authentic places most visitors never see.

Why Ride With Us?

We ride these roads ourselves and know the hidden gems beyond the tourist maps.

Every group is different. We adapt the experience to your level, pace and adventure style.

Good memories are created through people, stories, laughter and shared experiences — not only kilometers.
