About the project

Some hikes become more than a hike. This trip to Preikestolen with Luke from Australia — a first responder and helicopter rescue crew member — became a meeting between colleagues, mountains, and shared respect.

First Responder Friendship on the Trail to Preikestolen

Luke travelled from Australia and joined TrollAdventure for a hike to Preikestolen. He works in emergency response and with helicopter rescue, which gave the day an immediate common ground.

Luke hiked with Gerten, with plenty of conversation about emergency services, teamwork and how different countries approach the same kind of responsibility.

The visit also included time with local emergency services. For us, that was a natural extension of the day rather than an added attraction: people with similar backgrounds meeting through the place we know best.
