ROGALAND, LYSEFJORD & HARDANGER
Choose Your Hike
Pulpit Rock / Preikestolen
The best-known hike in the Stavanger region. Around 8 km return, varied mountain terrain and the open plateau 604 metres above Lysefjord.
Kjerag & Kjeragbolten
A demanding full mountain day above Lysefjord, with repeated climbs, exposed terrain and the famous Kjeragbolten boulder.
Flørli 4444
Boat access into Lysefjord, 4,444 wooden steps beside the old power pipes and a mountain route back down to the fjord.
Trolltunga
A long and serious mountain day near Odda. The distance, weather and time on foot make preparation more important here than on the shorter hikes.
Månafossen
A short, steep hike in Frafjord to one of Rogaland’s most impressive waterfalls. Continue into the valley to historic Mån farm if you want a longer day.
LOCAL PLANNING
Which One Fits Your Trip?
Start with the day you actually want. Pulpit Rock works well for many first-time visitors. Kjerag and Trolltunga require more time and stronger hiking fitness. Flørli combines fjord transport with a very unusual climb. Månafossen is easier to fit into a shorter road trip.
Season, weather, transport and the experience of your group matter. Our destination pages give you the practical details for each route before you decide.
