Kjerag Day Adventure – Fjords, Mountains & Local Stories (private group)
A guided day hike from Stavanger to Kjerag and Kjeragbolten, with transport, local guidance and time on the plateau above Lysefjord.
About This Tour
If you're looking for a full day that combines mountain terrain, local stops, a long drive and one of Norway's best-known hikes, Kjerag is a strong choice.
Join TrollAdventure from Stavanger to Kjerag in the Lysefjord region. The drive is part of the day, passing valleys, mountain plateaus and small communities before reaching Øygardstøl. We normally include a stop at Byrkjedalstunet when timing and the group make it practical.
The Kjerag hike is demanding. The route includes repeated climbs and descents over exposed mountain terrain, with changing grip and weather. If conditions allow, the route continues to Kjeragbolten, the boulder wedged between two rock faces above Lysefjord.
John and Gert founded TrollAdventure, and that first-responder background still shapes how we guide: clear communication, realistic pacing and practical decisions based on the group and the conditions. The goal is not to rush the mountain, but to make the day work well from Stavanger to Kjerag and back.
