Pulpit Rock, called «Preikestolen» in Norway, is located comfortably only 40km from city center in Stavanger. From the relatively flat area around Stavanger, you go straight into the mountains- and fjords area to reach Pulpit Rock.
Pulpit Rock is a “Must do”, and there are few excuses not to go. In fact, very few. It was not until the beginning of 1900, Pulpit Rock was discovered as a tourist destination. Today, this is a must-see nature experience, and one of the most visited in Norway.
